The following criteria must be met\u00a0to qualify as a recognized app:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Help <b>individuals share their own content<\/b> with 3rd party apps, such as apps that let you print your photos and import an Instagram photo as a profile picture.<\/li>\n<li>Help <b>brands and advertisers <\/b>understand and manage their audience, develop their content strategy, and get digital rights to media. Established apps in this space may apply for our newly announced <a title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/instagrampartners.com\/\">Instagram Partner Program<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Help <b>broadcasters and publishers<\/b> discover content, get digital rights to media, and share media using <b><a title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/technology\/appsblog\/2013\/jul\/11\/instagram-web-embeds\">web embeds<\/a>.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Here are a couple of tweets from a few of the most popular apps affected by this change:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Retro:<\/strong> Unfortunately, Retro doesn\u2019t fit into any categories above.
