Usually, this is followed by a fleeting thought such as &#8220;I can make my own &#8211; no problem!&#8221; As we all know, with limited time and limited design experience, this is a somewhat impossible feat to accomplish. Until now! You can start with a blank canvas and introduce your own elements and design, or you can start from a series of starter infographic maker templates to use as a great starting point to create from.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Step 1: Select an infographic maker template<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Visme has numerous infographic templates to choose from.\u00a0Select one that <strong>best<\/strong>\u00a0meets your design needs. Therefore before you populate your infographic, step back and ask yourself a few questions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What is the purpose of the piece?<\/li>\n<li>Who is going to be my audience?<\/li>\n<li>What message do I want to portray to the viewer?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em><strong>Pro tip:\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0There is no right or wrong, but make sure you do have a clear picture of what you want to create before you do begin the process.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s my outline:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Purpose: Take a boring stat and turn it into an interesting visual<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Audience: Our blog readers<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Message: Wow, that&#8217;s interesting!<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Step 3:\u00a0Select from the free assets and upload your own<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Now that I&#8217;ve picked my theme, I can do any one of the following:<\/p>\n<p>1 &#8211; Create a chart or graph. Each chart can be customized with specific bits of data to fit your data needs.<\/p>\n<p>2 &#8211; Use the\u00a0infographic widgets.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Infographic widgets are exclusive mini apps that allow users to quickly translate otherwise boring data into simple and easy to understand snackable pieces\u00a0of content that are easy to digest.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>3 &#8211; Add footnotes and references<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Step 4:\u00a0Publish your infographic<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>This final step is super easy. Review in preview mode then hit publish and voil\u00e0&#8230;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Boring Stat Infographic: Teens are flocking to Snapchat<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-16592\" src=\"https:\/\/dlvrit.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Boring-Stat-Infographic-2.png\" alt=\"Boring stat created with Infographic maker Visme\" width=\"800\" height=\"1400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dlvrit.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Boring-Stat-Infographic-2.png 800w, https:\/\/dlvrit.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Boring-Stat-Infographic-2-171x300.png 171w, https:\/\/dlvrit.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Boring-Stat-Infographic-2-768x1344.png 768w, https:\/\/dlvrit.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Boring-Stat-Infographic-2-585x1024.png 585w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<h3><strong>M<\/strong><strong>y thoughts on Visme (so far):<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>1 &#8211; The app is fairly user intuitive but took a little longer to create my first infographic than I would have hoped for &#8211; because there is so much you can do, the tools and settings aren\u2019t entirely intuitive, resulting in a steeper learning curve.<\/p>\n<p>2 &#8211; I couldn&#8217;t find the Snapchat logo in any of the button sets, so I tried uploading one from my desktop. This process was not easy &#8211; again, a learning curve but after a few attempts, I was finally able to load the image.<\/p>\n<p>3 &#8211; The animations are fun and simple to do. If you reload this page, check out the animations on my &#8220;Boring Stat Infographic&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>With that said, I can&#8217;t wait to use Visme again.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>What else can Visme do?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>As mentioned earlier in this post, Visme is much more than just an infographic maker. However, if you don&#8217;t have time, or only need an occasional graphic, Visme may not be for you.<\/p>\n<p>___<\/p>\n<p>Visme also has great blog content.
