They enable readers to better remember and understand your message.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Research done by Psychologist Jerome Bruner of New York University suggests that <strong><em>83% of human learning occurs visually<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Visuals can include: images, infographics, icons and the layout of the message itself. Visuals also provide the opportunity to extend the reach of your message through image specific search. The growth of Instagram, Pinterest and Vine are clear indicators that visual communication satisfies a core human need.<\/p>\n<p>There is a reason why Facebook redesigned their status update feed layout to emphasize images or why Twitter added Twitter Cards and recently added <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.dlvr.it\/2013\/12\/how-to-enable-auto-preview-of-images-and-video-in-your-twitter-timeline-to-create-rich-tweets\/\">photo and video previews on your timeline<\/a> \u2013 all these tools vastly improve the visual experience with their service. \u00a0Dlvr.it has also made it super simple to\u00a0<a title=\"Introducing Q \u2013 A Smart New Scheduling Tool to Keep Fans and Followers Active\" href=\"http:\/\/blog.dlvr.it\/2013\/12\/introducing-q-a-smart-new-scheduling-tool-to-keep-fans-and-followers-active\/\">create rich tweets with Q<\/a>. When you share content on Twitter, dlvr.it automatically shares it as a rich tweet with auto-preview enabled.<\/p>\n<p>According to researchers:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Color visuals increase the willingness to read content by 80%<\/li>\n<li>Visuals positively affect participation (reading, clicks, shares, purchases) by 80%<\/li>\n<li>The vast majority of knowledge held by adults (75%) is learned through seeing. Hearing is the next most effective (about 13%) and the other senses &#8211; touch, smell and taste account for 12% of what we know.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Take away: <\/strong>If you want people to read, share and buy your product, make it visual.
