Struggling with what to put in your holiday card to the boss?\u00a0The easy part is getting the card; however, for me, the harder part is crafting an appropriate message or greeting! We’ve put together a list of some crazy New Year wishes to\u00a0the\u00a0boss.<\/p>\n

Could you dare get away with\u00a0saying these to your boss? If you want to keep your job,\u00a0you should probably not say them! To keep you in good graces, we’ve included\u00a0a boring list<\/strong> of politically correct things to say to your boss, clients or workmates.\u00a0Pick the one or two you like best and file the\u00a0rest under “G for garbage”!<\/p>\n

But first, the good stuff:<\/p>\n

<\/span>7 Kiss-Ass<\/a>\u00a0Happy New Year Wishes to the Boss:<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

1. As a boss, you rule. Here\u2019s to another great year of working with you.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

3. You know, I am NOT at all sucking up. I just really want you to know, what an amazing boss you are. It is such a pleasure to work with you.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The subtext:\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>It takes courage to let go of control. But when you\u00a0do, great things can happen. Just ask Bruce Springsteen.<\/p>\n

4.\u00a0This is the most politically correct card I could find.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The subtext:\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>I’m\u00a0eliminating the possibility of offending anyone including your wife because who doesn\u2019t celebrate The New Year!?<\/p>\n

<\/span>Happy New Year Wishes to the Boss –\u00a0Things You Wish You Could Say<\/em><\/span><\/h2>\n

1. I am just happy to have a job.
\n<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The fine print:<\/em><\/strong> This doesn’t necessarily mean I am\u00a0satisfied with my job. Big difference. I’m\u00a0only floating along praying for the day when I\u00a0can tell you really what I’m\u00a0thinking.<\/p>\n

2. You’re not the boss of me.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The fine print:<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0Until I can pay my own iPhone bill, my Mom is the boss of me. A raise would help.<\/p>\n

3. I probably shouldn’t tell you this, but…<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The fine print:<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0Fill in the blanks. Is silence still the golden rule? Let me know when the rules change.<\/p>\n

Before we\u00a0jump into the safe but boring New Year’s\u00a0messages, here is a test. Check out the holiday card below. Think of the response you might receive if you gave it to your boss or client.<\/p>\n
