The goal for this Quora to RSS hack was two-fold:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Be a resource to our social media readers who might have the same questions as Quora users<\/li>\n<li>Determine if sharing Quora content on social could boost our profile on Quora<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Quora_to_RSS_%E2%80%93_Promote_Your_Answers\"><\/span>Quora to RSS &#8211; Promote Your Answers<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Quora to RSS Options:<\/strong>\u00a0You can create RSS feeds for\u00a0several Quora areas, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span id=\"__w2_qlfwKgX_toggle_link\">Profile Pages <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span id=\"__w2_qlfwKgX_toggle_link\">Question Pages <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span id=\"__w2_qlfwKgX_toggle_link\">Answer Pages <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span id=\"__w2_qlfwKgX_toggle_link\">Topic Pages <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The <strong>structure of each feed is as follows<\/strong>, where USERNAME is your Quora username:<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"__w2_qlfwKgX_toggle_link\">User profile pages:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">http:\/\/www.quora.com\/USERNAME\/rss<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"__w2_qlfwKgX_toggle_link\">User question pages:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">http:\/\/www.quora.com\/USERNAME\/questions\/rss<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"__w2_qlfwKgX_toggle_link\">User answer pages:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">http:\/\/www.quora.com\/USERNAME\/answers\/rss<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"__w2_qlfwKgX_toggle_link\">Topic pages:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">http:\/\/www.quora.com\/TOPIC-NAME\/rss<\/p>\n<p><strong>TIP:<\/strong> For more Quora to RSS ideas, simply append &#8220;\/rss&#8221; to the URL of the page you want as an RSS feed.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Sharing_Quora_Feeds_on_Social_Media\"><\/span>Sharing Quora Feeds on Social Media<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>We noticed that\u00a0<strong>Quora controls how many times you fetch an RSS feed for updates<\/strong>. If you fetch it too often, the feed will time out for approximately 24-hours. <strong>The optimal frequency we found was once per day.<\/strong> Anything more than that, Quora returned an error when looking for updates.<\/p>\n<p>If you are <a href=\"http:\/\/support.dlvrit.com\/hc\/en-us\/articles\/202703704-A-Guide-to-Getting-Started-with-dlvr-it\">adding the feed to a dlvr.it route<\/a>, change the feed settings to look for updates once per day.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-10122\" src=\"https:\/\/dlvrit.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Feed-Fetch-Interval-dvrlit.jpg\" alt=\"Fetch Quora feeds once per day or risk feed shutting down.\" width=\"662\" height=\"654\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dlvrit.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Feed-Fetch-Interval-dvrlit.jpg 662w, https:\/\/dlvrit.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Feed-Fetch-Interval-dvrlit-300x296.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 662px) 100vw, 662px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Based on Quora&#8217;s fetch restrictions, we decided to share two of our\u00a0Quora answers one time\u00a0per day.
