We use this data to guide our <strong>social media marketing<\/strong> strategy. When we want to view our social media engagement we turn to the <a title=\"Track Your Social Syndication Performance with dlvr.it\u2019s Stats Dashboard\" href=\"https:\/\/dlvrit.com\/blog\/2011\/05\/track-your-social-syndication-performance-with-dlvr-its-stats-dashboard\/\">dlvr.it stats dashboard<\/a>. I have to be honest, I never paid much attention to the new(ish) Google+ Insights data. I was pleasantly surprised\u00a0to learn about and discover the following:<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"A_How_to_Access_Google_Insights_Dashboard\"><\/span>A. How to Access Google+ Insights Dashboard<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Log in to your Google+ Business Page. On the left of the page, click on &#8216;<strong>My Business&#8217;.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dlvrit.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Step-1-Click-on-My-Business.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-9124\" src=\"https:\/\/dlvrit.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Step-1-Click-on-My-Business.jpg\" alt=\"How to Access Google+ Insights \" width=\"606\" height=\"354\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dlvrit.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Step-1-Click-on-My-Business.jpg 606w, https:\/\/dlvrit.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Step-1-Click-on-My-Business-300x175.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 606px) 100vw, 606px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"B_Google_Insights_Summary_Data\"><\/span>B. Google+ Insights Summary Data<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>You should see a summary of data for the\u00a0Google Apps you are using. For example, this summary may include Google Insights, Google Analytics, <a title=\"How to Create a YouTube RSS Feed and Instantly Give your Tweets a Boost with Video\" href=\"https:\/\/dlvrit.com\/blog\/2014\/01\/how-to-create-a-youtube-rss-feed-and-instantly-give-your-tweets-a-boost-with-video\/\">YouTube<\/a>, etc. As shown below, in this list you can find your Google+ Business Page. Click on &#8216;<strong>View insights&#8217;<\/strong> to drill down into the details.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dlvrit.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Google-Insights-Overview.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-9127\" src=\"https:\/\/dlvrit.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Google-Insights-Overview.jpg\" alt=\"Overview of Google+ Insights Data\" width=\"760\" height=\"203\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dlvrit.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Google-Insights-Overview.jpg 760w, https:\/\/dlvrit.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Google-Insights-Overview-300x80.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 760px) 100vw, 760px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"C_Google_Insights_Detailed_Data\"><\/span>C. Google+ Insights Detailed Data<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The Google+ Insights reports data is broken down into four types:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Visibility:<\/strong> All time total, <a title=\"Automatically Post Photos from Instagram, Pinterest, RSS and more\" href=\"https:\/\/dlvrit.com\/blog\/2014\/07\/automatically-post-photos-from-instagram-pinterest-rss-and-more\/\">photo<\/a>, and post views, and how page impressions have trended over time.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Engagement:<\/strong> Which types of posts are getting the highest level of engagement on Google+.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Audience:<\/strong> Get an overview of your follower demographics.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Platform:<\/strong> Details on the platform followers are accessing your <a title=\"How to Create a Google+ Feed to Easily Share Posts Across Social Media\" href=\"https:\/\/dlvrit.com\/blog\/2015\/02\/google-plus-to-rss\/\">Google+ Business Page<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The drop down box on the right of the graph allows you to toggle through several pre-set date ranges to review the data. This provides great insight into whether text, photos or videos resonates most with your followers. Scrolling over the bar graph reveals the details.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>What did you learn about your data? Use the insights to help guide your content strategy on Google+. A few questions you should ask:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Does the data change\/alter my content strategy in any way?<\/li>\n<li>How is the data different\/same from other social networks my brand is on?<\/li>\n<li>Does what I learned from the data provide any different insights compared to other social networks?
