Read this\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dlvrit.com\/blog\/2014\/09\/upload-blog-posts-to-slideshare\/\">two-minute tutorial<\/a> on how we do this.<\/p>\n<p>We don&#8217;t spend time creating original content\u00a0specifically for SlideShare, but the traffic spikes we see from this simple method of uploading blog content leads me to believe we could be doing a better job of\u00a0maximizing our exposure.<\/p>\n<p>This extra exposure is where the potential of SlideShare SEO comes into play.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_to_Improve_SlideShare_SEO\"><\/span><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-9776\" src=\"https:\/\/dlvrit.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Slideshare-Analytics-1024x610.png\" alt=\"Total views and slideshare SEO actions\" width=\"760\" height=\"453\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dlvrit.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Slideshare-Analytics.png 1024w, https:\/\/dlvrit.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Slideshare-Analytics-300x179.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 760px) 100vw, 760px\" \/> <strong>How to Improve SlideShare SEO<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<h3><strong>Step One:\u00a0Identify target keywords<\/strong><\/h3>\n<blockquote><p>Off-page SEO includes anything done outside of your website, proving to search engines that your digital footprint is relevant for certain keywords and phrases. <strong>This includes SlideShare SEO.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>To start, Google is the first place I go when I need to do keyword research.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/adwords.google.com\/keywordplanner\">Google\u2019s Keyword Planner<\/a>:<\/strong> It\u00a0is mostly intended to help Adwords advertisers spend money efficiently when purchasing ads from Google but you\u00a0can still use the data to find higher traffic keywords that are more likely to send organic traffic.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/analytics\/\">Google Analytics<\/a>:<\/strong>\u00a0Although most keywords will be displayed as \u201cnot provided\u201d, Google Analytics does still show some of the most relevant keywords that are sending you traffic, as well as which pages, are performing the best.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/webmasters\/tools\">Google Webmaster Tools<\/a>:<\/strong> Provides a wider range of keywords than Analytics if you want to get even more data from your current content.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Other (non-Google) keyword research tools:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/keywordtool.io\/\">Keywordtool.io<\/a>:<\/strong>\u00a0With a single search, this tool can generate up to 750+\u00a0keyword suggestions from Google, YouTube, Bing and even the App Store. It\u2019s free, reliable and pretty fast!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a title=\"Ubersuggest\" href=\"http:\/\/ubersuggest.org\/\">\u00dcbersuggest<\/a>:<\/strong> Created by an Italian SEO guy and touted as one of the best free keyword tools for getting lots of keyword suggestions. Check it out!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Step Two: Give your upload file an SEO-friendly name<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The name of the file you upload to SlideShare becomes the URL slug. Notice in the example above the use of our keywords: Instagram and Winning Profile.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Step Five: Use SlideShare Analytics<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>For deeper insight into your content, SlideShare offers a robust analytics feature allowing you to track the daily progress of all your content.<\/p>\n<p>You can\u00a0see the geographical distribution of views to find out where your\u00a0content is accessed, traffic sources to evaluate which channels are bringing the most viewers, and timing to measure what days of the week and months content performs best. There is a lot of great information packed into this feature.<\/p>\n<p>On your dashboard, you can choose to see stats for each\u00a0upload by clicking the &#8216;uploads&#8217; drop-down menu.
